Comfort Versus Curative
Consider hospice when there is a terminal prognosis of 6 months or less, (a disease that has run its normal course) or if a child is suffering from a life-limiting illness. Consider giving them hospice services. It is our goal to make our patients feel compassion, comfort, and no pain from their symptoms.
A Doctor’s Referral is Not Necessary
Anyone may request hospice care. A Redding patient may be referred by a hospital, clergy, family, friend or other home care agency and will be admitted under a physician’s direction. For your convenience, a referral can be made through our website.

Palliative Home Care is an option that may sometimes work in conjunction with curative treatment It is our main goal to provide our patients with the highest quality of life possible.
The Palliative Home Care Program works in collaboration with the care of physicians while allowing Redding patients to actively seek their specialized treatments when symptoms are difficult to manage. This program, for patients who are homebound and who have a skilled need.
Families who have a baby with a terminal illness or have died should consider our Pediatric & Perinatal Hospice Programs.
